Valentines @ Art of Chocolate
I absolutely love to work with chocolate! One of the reasons that I hand shape my chocolates, is that it allows me to be as creative as possible. It’s a fascinating medium. I can spend hours testing new fillings, creating new shapes and decorations.
My chocolates are made from the finest Belgium and French chocolate. For my fillings I use real butter, cream, fresh fruits, spices, herbs and nuts. Everything is made in small batches to guarantee freshness.
I’m excited, that after being back in Canada for 10 years, I am starting ‘ The Art of Chocolate’.
Hopefully you can enjoy my chocolates as much as I like to make them!
My Valentines chocolates are now available at the Art of Brewing, 614 Railway Street Nelson.

Growing up I’ve spent a lot of hours in the kitchen, baking cookies, cakes and breads. During my first visit to Canada, in Whitehorse, Yukon, I was introduced to the world of chocolate. It got me hooked right away.
Back home in Holland I was trained as a professional chocolate and pastry chef and started working in trendy and renowned chocolate and pastry shops in Amsterdam. I also wrote and tested recipes for food magazines and taught workshops in cooking, baking and chocolates.
